Referral Services

We accept Imaging, surgery, and advanced medicine referrals from the Greater Wellington area. We have digital radiology and modern ultrasound equipment available for non invasive diagnosis. Our surgeons perform advanced soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries such as TTOs, TTAs, fracture repairs and complex tumour removals. Our physicians can stage and manage many neoplastic diseases and other complex medical conditions. We also provide a Wellington base for visiting veterinarians providing advanced dermatology, and dental services.

Medical, Surgical and Imaging Referrals
Senior PETVET veterinarians also accept referrals of complex medical conditions, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, and diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound, endoscopy and advanced x-ray studies.
Dental Surgery Referrals
Dr Angus offers referral dentistry services at PETVET Silverstream. Based at Massey University in Palmerston North, as well as providing referral dentistry services, Angus teaches dentistry to veterinary students. He is currently enrolled in a dental residency programme with the American Veterinary Dental College. Satisfactory completion of this programme will enable him to obtain specialist accreditation. Though extraction of teeth is sometimes needed in our pets, Angus is always keen to explore ways of saving teeth or minimizing the trauma associated with any dental procedures required. Root canal treatments or pulp capping and even orthodontics are often viable alternatives for compromised teeth.
